Welcome to Week 9 designers. This week we are experimenting with body paint. Create and design an original outfit inspired by a wall texture/design. The wall you choose will be incorporated into your skin-tone to effectively portray body paint.
Please keep in mind the wall you choose must be accessible on .COM; we will need to be able to locate it and screenshot it.

In terms of being inspired by a wall I definitely see where this design was headed. The positioning was unique and definitely worked well with your palette and most of your fabric decisions. However I do find for such a geometric wall design, this outfit could have had sharper edges and more form to it to play with those aspects. Collectively this is a credible design that stands strong in your portfolio. Had you submitted this design a different week; it could have been a top look in my opinion; it just didn't totally fit with your chosen prompt. Good job.

Whilst this decor is an ambitious choice, I do feel it swallows you up a little. The asymmetrical aspects of the wall and the concrete, one way design of your dress doesn’t really match, and i’m not too fond of it. However it’s not all bad, the tone this outfit sets is lovely and I like the illusory vibe it gives off. Your streak may have ended but this is no way a huge fall from grace; still solid work.

The influence of the wall was most noticeable in the swirl of shape you added in your torso. The hues and variety of movement you incorporated in that region fit well with your chosen prompt. I find the rest of the design to be lacking; the colour palette is there but as for the shapes, they are boring. Your chosen wall had so much to offer and you neglected that by adding a minimalistic pant. I think you could have pushed this design further by adding texture and shapes. Thanks.

My second best usage of a wall for me this week, but it suffers greatly from a really jarring and confused outfit. The layout is minimal but to little effect against a wall of that grandeur. The top half is far too much with the necklace and the cherry tattoo - it’s too much textures and patterns battling each other. It’s a shame because this outfit had huge potential.

For a wall that is so sleek and straight-edged; you've complicated it by adding too many wrinkles in your design. The palette is stunning, the highlight you did in the chest and the metallic pants were good choices. I just find this needed something more to push it fashion forward. It's a bit bleak and I wish you reflected more of the inspiration from the wall into the silhouette of your design.

This outfit is a slip up. Although the metallic pants and the denim vest work in tandem with the walls - that’s all. The whole outfit doesn’t seem to tie together and as a complete package it doesn’t work for me. The design looks very abrasive against such a sleek looking wall. Sorry this outfit just looks unimaginative and lacks what we saw from previous weeks.
DOUBLE ELIMINATION
That's it for Week 9 designers. We have decided to speed this competition up a tad faster than expected; revealing our second DOUBLE ELIMINATION of the season. Thanks designers.

This is the best camouflage I have seen this week. You've chosen 1 element of the wall to be your inspiration and formed your design around it. The colour variance and tones you've played with directly represent the wall you chose and I think this is a gorgeous composition. The oriental flare you tied into this goes above what I thought most designers would show us this week. A very strong design; thanks.

Although this outfit is simple - it’s striking and beautiful. The way you’ve incorporated the flag textile with the yellow streaks in your outfit is gorgeous. This design is uniform, bold and filled with charm. I don’t have much else to say for such a straight to the point and effective design - tremendous effort this week. And I love a blue shoe.

The black might have deterred you from first place this week; it would have been nice to see some of those copper tones in this design. However I think the use of the clothing items and fabrics have made this a very interesting design. I love the chest design and how it draws your attention. The combination of fabrics you've rustled in the torso are great. Good job, thanks.

The layout of this design is very strong. This wall plays to all of your strengths and it shows. I love the cluster of grey wedged in between those two black bases. And the way the red exposed brickwork of the wall seeps into your outfit is a really creative touch. This is a good design this week, thank you.
Conclusion
Congratulations Xenid on your first win, it couldn't have come at a better time. You've treaded the top of the leaderboard nearly all season long; it was about time you claimed a win. Very deserving. Sadly the competition didn't have enough room for the 2 very ambitious designers we had to say goodbye to this week; Jozinga and Xigma. You both have shown variety and creativity in your designs this season; we are very proud of your accomplishments and hope you are too. You've put a lot of peoples words back in their mouth with your resilience to stay in this competition. Well done. Thanks designers.
